These courses offer a pathway to understanding and shaping the legal future of AI agents. It consists of two modules: The first module provides participants with technical foundations on AI agents and introduces them to relevant legal concepts from torts, agency, and consumer protection laws. The second module advances participants into focused research streams including liability frameworks, law-following AI, and technical infrastructure, culminating in individual research proposals. Participants may choose to attend either only Module 1 or both modules based on their interest.

Module 1: An Introduction (16-29 June) is a 2 week course ideal for law and policy students seeking to grasp the fundamentals of AI agents, their governance challenges, and the limitations of current legal tools.

Module 2: A Research Outlook (18 Aug - 12 Sep) is a 4 week course designed for aspiring legal and technical policy researchers, providing an exploration of key research streams and culminating in a research proposal to be considered for a research fellowship.

Unit 3: Current governance mechanisms across the AI agent lifecycle (in the absence of new laws)
